We carry brand names as well as our house brands "Nugget". How Our Company Evolved Since 1920, Seashore Food Distributors' food service professionals have been servicing chefs and restaurant owners in Southern New Jersey, by providing quality products to quality customers. With our late night cut off and reasonable minimum order requirements, no establishment is too small or too large to accommodate.
The company's founder, Harry Satt, survived war in Europe, bought a chicken farm in Woodbine, NJ, and then opened a restaurant in Wildwood, NJ, called the Hen House. Seashore began there, but it quickly evolved when other local restaurants began buying the Satt family's eggs and poultry products. Soon, customers wanted more and more products of the same superior quality so chickens became just one of many items Seashore offered for sale and quick delivery.
Over the years the company grew steadily and in 1965 Ocean Creamery, an allied business, was acquired. In 1971 Mr. Satt's son, Henry, associated himself full time in the business. The company moved into its present modern facility in May of 1983 after four prior upgrades in facilities. In 1984 Harry Satt passed away, but his legacy continues. Today Seashore Food Distributors is the largest in the area. We have just completed a new addition which more than doubled our freezer capacity and added an additional layer of food safety to the products sold. The previous 3,800 square foot freezer was converted to a multi-temperature refrigerated space to accommodate our growing produce business.
Our company provides a full range of fresh, frozen and canned foodstuffs to restaurants, schools, hotels, health care, and institutional accounts in three counties.
